Weekly Playtest 3 – April 26

Greetings Prospectors,

Here are some important facts for today’s playtest:

  1. Do not use the Dragonfly Flightsuit; players can be one-shot killed because of using it
  2. The Korolev weapon Kor LMG cannot be crafted
  3. The test is scheduled to end on Friday 27, 9 AM CEST / 3 AM EDT. You can check the server status here.
  4. To facilitate this, the chat will be deactivated for the foreseeable future. However, you can still use the comm wheel and we also recommend that you join the official Discord, in case you want to ask for advice or give feedback.
  5. We have recently introduced Spanish and French localization into the game. If you are a native speaker of those languages, we would really appreciate your help to improve the quality by reporting wrong or missing translations via the “Report Bug -> Localization Bug” tab in the game menu.

What to expect?

First of all, as promised, we have introduced some changes to the kits and we would like to get your feedback about them.

Prospectors / Kits

  • General
    • Sprinting speed increased from 150% to 170%
  • Jetpack
    • Impulse increased from 450 to 600
    • Recharge delay changed from 0.65s to 1.0s
  •  Shields
    • All prospector kits now have a 300 shield
    • Joining a pact removes the shield for both players until the pact is broken
    • All kits have had their HP re-balanced to adjust to this
      • Quicksuit lowered to 600 HP
      • Dragonfly and Basic lowered to 700 HP
      • Boxer increased to 1100 HP

Furthermore, there have been some changes regarding the PvE enemies and weapons.

  • PvE Enemies
    • HP values lowered by ~30% for most creatures
    • Additional weak zone multiplier for most creatures set to 1.35 (on top of default weapon multiplier)
  • Weapon Mods
    • Removed old mods from all weapons
    • Added new mod setup for the ICA weapons Kinetic Arbiter and the Advocate
  • Weapon Spread
    • Has been reworked how it is applied, so some wonkiness might occur!
    • Most guns have had their hip fire base spread increased
    • Sprinting multiplier on all guns reduced to make crosshair behave nicer
  • Weapon Balance
    • Some minor balances changes
      • Voltaic Brute
        • Has snappier and less varying spread as you hipfire
      • ICA Guarantee
        • Has way higher recoil in hipfire and little buildup
      • Snipers
        • Have higher and more consistent spread on hipfire
      • KARLA
        • Fixed an issue with the in-air spread multiplier
        • Now has quicker spread decrease, but waits for longer until it begins
      • FF4 Detonator
        • Fixed an issue with the in-air spread multiplier
        • Now has more consistent spread when hip firing

And last but not least, there are some changes regarding the overall progression system of the game.

  • Meta Progression
    • Some low-tier and mid-tier weapons have no more rare materials requirements
    • Materials now have descriptions that explain where to find them (see the “Materials” section)
    • Performance-based rare material rewards have been drastically lowered
      • for 1 and 0 victory points, many rare materials were completely removed
      • for lower tier performance rewards, some of the rare materials have also been removed

Please remember, this is an alpha build, bugs and crashes are to be expected. If you find any issues during your session, please don’t hesitate to report it using the bug reporter tool in-game. Please also keep in mind that queue times, especially late in the night might be longer than expected due to lower player count.


Known issues:

  • Chat has been disabled for the duration of the test. We recommend to join our Discord to join the conversation.
  • Only the mods for the ICA weapons Kinetic Arbiter and Advocate are currently active. Mods for the other weapons will be gradually added over time.
  • After redeeming the key, the game might appears as “unavailable” on the Epic Games Store. Restarting the Epic Launcher should solve this.
  • When you load into the match lobby for squad mode, it will look like all players are in the same squad. This is just a display issue, and you will be in squads of 4 as intended.
  • Client crashes might occur when crafting weapons, please send the crash report should this happen to you.
  • After finishing a match you will get faction experience towards your progression. Currently, there’s a display issue causing the progression bar for each faction to remain empty. However, you’re still gaining progress, and your current faction level will be displayed correctly.
