The Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct sets out the guiding principles for content creators who wish to grow with Yager and The Cycle: Frontier. Affiliates and Partners are expected to uphold the immutable standards of Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity to which Yager is committed to growing, upholding and promoting in all of it's activities and interactions.
The Code is designed to acquaint you with Yager's core values regarding Content Creators and describe the expectations of content creators who join the Affiliate or Partner Program. It goes hand in hand with the Content Guide below and the Prospector's Code which applies to all players in the game.
Content Creator Support Program Core Values
Yager strives to understand the perspectives and beliefs of those we work with, those who play our games and our business partners. These core values define our moral compass in all interactions with content creators and other influencers.
Promote a gaming environment that generates positive experiences.
Foster a community of healthy, respectful streamers and sub-communities.
Promote growth for content creators invested in The Cycle: Frontier.
Summary of the Code of Conduct
Be respectful of other players and encourage other players to be respectful. Lead by example.
Cultivate healthy, respectful attitudes within your community. Foster a community that you are proud to be responsible for.
Be vigilant against utilizing or demonstrating game play hacks, third party software or exploiting bugs to create an unfair advantage over other players.
Do not spread misinformation or defamate Yager, its staff or its products.
Do not violate any Non-Disclosure Agreements or other legal agreements with Yager.
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
To create an environment where players can enjoy positive experiences and have fun Yager must be vigilant against toxic individuals who utilize discrimination, harassment, hate and misinformation to make gaming environments and their satellite communities feel unsafe. Content Creators and Community Builders should promote a culture that embraces individuality, enabling players to feel safe in being their authentic selves and fully contribute to the gaming environment.
Yager strictly prohibits discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, colour, religion, veteran status, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy status, sex, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, mental or physical disability, medical condition or sexual orientation.
Hateful actions and/or speech are not tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to actions or speech that are racist, queer-phobic, trans-phobic, homophobic, sexist, ableist, gatekeeping, or minimize/marginalize the presence of any player in the community.
Content Creators are responsible for their communities' conduct as well as their own and Yager will not support communities that allow toxicity unchecked.
Any streamer can be reported for misconduct to Yager. Yager utilitizes the in-game reporting tool and reports directed to community managers. Misconduct is investigated promptly and every report is evaluated on a case by case basis. Appropriate actions as a result of misconduct are based on the evidence and testimonials provided.
Appropriate actions with regard to the Content Creator Support Program with examples of scenarios warranting these actions include:
No Action - In the case that the report is suspicious or lacks evidence.
Friendly Warning - In the case that the Affiliate or Partner is a victim of entrapment or "baited" into misconduct or that the Affiliate or Partner is ignorant of their misconduct.
Formal Warning - In the case that the Affiliate or Partner repeatedly offends after a Friendly Warning.
Removal from the program - In the case that the affiliate or partner repeatedly offends, commits a gross misconduct or tries to exploit loopholes in the Code of Conduct.
When possible Yager will aim to facilitate education and reconciliation with content creators in the program. However, education and reconciliation will never be prioritized over the safety and integrity of the player community or the safety and integrity of Yager, it's staff or it's products.
Discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, colour, religion, veteran status, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy status, sex, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, mental or physical disability, medical condition or sexual orientation.
Actions or speech that are racist, queer-phobic, trans-phobic, homophobic, sexist, ableist, gatekeeping, or minimize/marginalize the presence of any player in the community.
Utilizing game play hacks, third party software or exploit bugs to create an unfair advantage over other players.
Violation of any Non-Disclosure Agreements or other legal agreements with Yager.
Creating content that is out of line with the Content Guidelines.
The Cycle: Frontier is proud to support content creators and help them grow! We want our Affiliates and Partners to be welcoming to a wide and diverse audience, as such certain content can not be shared by channels that promote our game.
Intolerant or Discriminatory Content
The Cycle: Frontier welcomes diversity and does not tolerate intolerant content or discriminatory content against any individual or group of individual based on race, colour, religion, veteran status, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy status, sex, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, mental or physical disability, medical condition or sexual orientation.
Sexual or Graphic Violent Content
We do not condone sexual content or overtly violent content.
Illegal or Dangerous Content
The Cycle: Frontier does not condone content involving or promoting illegal activities, including gambling, drugs, animal cruelty, fraud, hacking, and piracy. Harmful content that approves or incites Violence against others is not allowed.
Implementing gambling and/or casino style games that involve real money or Aurum.
Sell, trade or give away in-game items or game codes outside of Yager approved methods.
The Cycle: Frontier Team advise that streamers check the laws surrounding Promotions, giveaways or sweepstakes carefully before creating a promotion. Specifically the Terms of Service of the medium that your content is uploaded to, the laws surrounding your local area, the laws surrounding the content creator medium (usually the Headquarters location) and also the specific locations of potential participants. T&Cs that exclude problematic areas are advisable.
Infringing or Unauthorized Content
Don't share or use content you did not create without appropriate permissions (e.g. in other games, on T-shirts).
Content Utilizing or Demonstrating Unfair Advantages
The Cycle: Frontier will not promote content creators who create Content that encourages, explains or demonstrates how to cheat the game and create an unfair advantage over other players.
Content that is not permitted includes engaging in any kind of behavior that is considered cheating, Including, but not limited to:
Deliberate glitch and bug abuse
Hiding in Level Geometry
Using weapon bugs to your unfair advantage
Using 3rd party tools that allow you to operate outside of the designed mechanics of the game (Including but not limited to macros)
Using any kind of trainer / cheat software
Using aim-bots, wall-hacks, speed-hacks and any other cheats
To remain in good standing affiliates and partners must adhere to the Code of Conduct and the Content Guidelines.
Affiliates and Partners that fail to adhere to the Code of Conduct or creating content that is divergent to the Content Guidelines will result in a ban and removal from the program as detailed in the Code of Conduct.
Affiliates must spend at least 6 hours in The Cycle: Frontier in a 12 month period or risk losing their status.
Partners must spend at least 12 hours streaming The Cycle: Frontier in a 12 month period or risk losing their status.
